Our Philosophy
Founded on the principles of mindfulness, most sessions begin and end with a nourishing singing bowl sound & breathing meditation. We like people that are looking to problem solve their bodies, as well as quiet their minds. Equally trusting in both Medical Science and our own Intuition, Ohio Mindful Massage (OMM) is for those whose bodies seek an experience deeper than just a simple Relaxation massage.
Clare T Dayton, LMT
Ohio Mindful Massage is the culmination of 15 years working as a Licensed Massage Therapist, and the special path in which her career has unfolded. After obtaining an Associates Degree in Massage Therapy, she started working under Dr. Nathan Sikora, owner of The Center for Holistic Medicine. Later in life, she was drawn towards Amish Country, and there she was graced with the opportunity to practice next to Dave Pratt, B.A., L.M.T. Dave is the original BREEMA practitioner in Ohio, and being exposed to those philosophies gave Clare a solid foundation in Mindfulness. He now owns True Nature Retreats. While there, her time also included working with lots of wonderful & experienced Licensed Therapists. Lastly, she refined her deep tissue therapeutic skills at Alicia's Massotherapy.
Clare opened Ohio Mindful Massage, LLC in Streetsboro, Ohio June of 2016 and strives to be holistic in her approach to treating clients. Clare keeps up with the latest therapies in order to help people under stress find more relief. She found many great body work techniques studying Manual Medicine Therapy in Michigan, as well as Being-in-the-Present-Moment practices at the BREEMA Institute of California, 2010. Clare was also taught to be a Reiki Master (life energy and self compassion skills) by her intuitive teacher Phyllis Fasnaut in Norton, Ohio. Clare also monitors the body's rhythm and pulse through Craniosacral Therapy that she learned through skilled teacher Randal Gibson. In early 2018 she trained in Trigger Point Therapy to help people release stubborn muscular knots. In the summer of 2018, she also took an insightful Meridian Energy course from Randal Gibson. Learning an extensive amount about meridians has allowed her to help move people's blocked energy and see those subtle energies in the body more clearly. Clare also began training in Access Bars, which allows her to tap into the 32 energetic points on the human head. This helps clients relax at a deeper state; open up their subconscious, ultimately helping them to move through life more fluidly. Access bars has a motto of 'Interesting Point of View' and 'What else is possible?'.
About 8yrs ago, music became more important to how she moves energy and resets by following the sounds and letting the vibrations heal blocks in the aura that can affect the physical body if not addressed. Sound healing can come in many forms using the voice and many instruments. Clare has explored how to use her flute for sound healing as well as singing bowls and multiple bells. She has also explored the world of Indian rhythms and mantras. Hinduism in general, has been a form of healing for Clare as she consciously stays healthy for her clients.
My goals in a therapy session always include how to connect you with your body, get out stubborn knots, and feel more Empowered. With these simple concepts, watch your life and physical body change for the better!
Leading Your Body to Wholeness,

Ohio Mindful Massage
Ohio Mindful Massage Started out after 7yrs of working for other companies. Inspired by the birth of her daughter in 2016, Clare found the inspiration to put her own essence into the massages she did and started a home business in Streetsboro. Her inspiration grew for helping people learn how relaxation of the nervous system is the key to healing.
She grew to love Solon, Ohio that have lots of good offices to start up in and moved there in 2019. During 2020 she focused more on exploring music and finding an office where she hopes to do nourishing seminars and sound baths for her growing clientele.
In 2024 she finally found a quiet office at North Solon Office Park. She is grateful to keep massaging people year after year; being nourished by going back to the principles of being in the present moment.
